Neue Film 2

Studio Babelsberg’s largest stage complex, Neue Film 2 with its Stage 20 and Stage 21, does not only provide an immense surface of 88,576 sq ft in total, but also Germany’s biggest indoor water tank for film shoots above and under water. The stages are located immediately next to the historic studio lot on the so-called Neues Filmgelände.

Stage 20, measuring 75,826 sq ft, and Stage 21, measuring 12,751 sq ft., both offer a unique industrial style with steel beams and features from the factory era. Directly adjoining to sound stages 20 and 21 you will find production offices and function rooms on two floors as well as large workshops and storage spaces for prefabrication, props and decoration. Productions filmed at the vast sound stages, include Valkyrie, A Cure for Wellness, The Monuments Men, Homeland, The Matrix Resurrections and recently John Wick: Chapter 4.
