Studio Babelsberg supports international and German producers as co-producer or production service provider, offering full production services through our subsidiary Studio Babelsberg Motion Pictures as well as first-class set construction with our Art Department Studio Babelsberg.

Film funding & Incentives: 30% cash rebate plus regional project funding

In Germany various incentives and funding programs are available to filmmakers, with 133 million euros allocated annually at the federal level. The German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) with its two columns DFFF I and DFFF II and German Motion Pictures Fund (GMPF) cover up to 30% of production costs in Germany for international co-productions, high-end series and VoD formats.

On top of that, nearly all federal states offer additional funding, bringing regional support to over 170 million euros annually.
